Is There a Difference Between a Table Lamp and a Work Lamp?
Is there a difference between a work lamp and a table lamp? This question isn't strictly defined.
A work lamp generally refers to a lamp installed on lathes, machine tools, machinery, or workstations for production operations. While typically fixed in position, it can be retracted, adjusted in height, and oriented. While its appearance is less demanding, due to the harsh working environment, the lamp must be sturdy, reliable, and have safety features. Its brightness and color must meet the requirements of the work, without flickering or glare, and without causing the illusion of movement on the workpiece.
A table lamp generally refers to a movable household lamp placed on a home desk, living room, or bedroom. Table lamps, as household decorations, are generally elegant, aesthetically pleasing, and artistically designed.
Work lamps are commonly used on machine tools, and there are also machine tool table lamps. Table lamps are generally household lamps.
